Thane: NCP leader Jitendra Ohar arrested for stopping screening of Marathi film and beating audience

Thane: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former cabinet minister Jitendra Ohar has been arrested for allegedly blocking the screening of a Marathi film and killing the audience. According to the police, Ohadarap along with his supporters barged into a police station mall and forcibly stopped the screening of the Marathi film ‘Har Har Mahadev’. A spectator was also beaten up for opposing him.
He alleged that the film is showing wrong history about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Jitendra Ohahar not only stopped the film but also forced the audience to leave the theater and went public.
The Thane police said regarding the registration of the complaint, “NCP MLA Jitendra Ohadawar against 100 of his workers for forcibly closing the show of the film ‘Har Har Mahadev’ at Vartak Nagar Police Station in Thane and assaulting the audience.” A case has been registered under Sections 141, 143, 146, 149, 323, 504 of the IPC and Section 37/135 of the Mumbai Police in connection with the incident that took place at Viviana Mall in Thane. .
At the same time, Abhijit Deshpande, the director of the film, said that we had put our stand before the Censor Board, we were asked some questions by the Censor Board, to which we answered by showing the page written in the relevant date.
