Gautam Adani once again became the third richest person in the world, Beats Amazon founder Jeff Bezos

Mumbai: Gautam Adani has once again come to the third place in the list of the richest people in the world. According to Forbes, he has replaced Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Indian stocks have outperformed Wall Street in the past two weeks, boosting Gautam Adani’s wealth. On Monday, Gautam Adani’s wealth increased by $314 million to become the owner of $131.9 billion. With this, he has become the third richest person in the world in the Forbes list. He is now behind Louis Vita’s Bernard Arnault, who is in second place with a net worth of $156.5 billion. Indian equity benchmarks rose on Monday. It rose for the third week on the back of less pressure from the central bank and expectations of lower oil prices.
This Forbes list shows the steep decline in Jeff Bezos’ wealth. Last week, Amazon predicted weak sales in the holiday weeks. After that, shares of the world’s largest retailer fell within hours.
Even as Adani overtakes Jeff Bezos, the Forbes list of richest people has fluctuated in recent weeks. It shows volatility in the major equity markets.
Meanwhile, Gautam Adani has come second, third and fourth. Recently they were at number four. This change was caused by the volatility of assets of Bernard Arnault and Jeff Bezos and the volatile performance of the stock market. The difference between these three billionaires is about $30 billion.
But amidst all this, Elon Musk has maintained his position at number one and is leading the world with a net worth of 223.8 billion.
