‘Muslims don’t worship Lakshmi, don’t they get rich?’ BJP MLA’s statement caused an uproar

Patna : BJP MLA from Bihar Lalan Paswan has created a controversy by making a statement about Hindu gods and goddesses on Wednesday. The MLA of Paripanti assembly constituency of Bhagalpur district raised questions on Hindu beliefs and also presented arguments to prove his point. A protest was held against him in Bhagalpur’s Shermari Bazar and his effigy was also burnt.
The MLA also questioned the worship of Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali. He said that if worshiping Goddess Lakshmi gives wealth, then Muslims don’t have billionaires and billionaires? Muslims don’t worship Goddess Lakshmi, aren’t they rich? Muslims do not worship Goddess Saraswati. Are there no scholars among Muslims? Can’t they become IAS or IPS?’
The BJP leader said that the concept of “Atma and Paramatma” is only a belief of people. He said, “If you believe, you are God; otherwise, you are stone.” It is up to us whether we believe in gods or not. We have to think on scientific basis to reach logical conclusion. If you stop believing, your mental capacity will increase.
At the same time, Paswan said, “It is believed that the Bajrang cat is a deity and gives strength. Muslims or Christians do not worship the Bajring cat, are they not powerful? America doesn’t have a temple to the ringed cat, so what does? Isn’t that a superpower? The day you stop believing, all these things will disappear.
Let me tell you, earlier Lalin Paswan hit the headlines when he allegedly leaked a conversation with Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Yadav.
