A couple of socially active groups jointly hosted around 100 non-Muslims for lunch at Ring hall, Naya Nagar, Mira Road on Thursday, as part of the Prophet for All campaign. The campaign will continue till Eid-e-Milad i.e. Prophet Muhammad’s birthday which falls on October 9 this year.
While they ate together, they also took a pledge to promote communal harmony and national integration. “It is an attempt to foster love and brotherhood. We decided to talk while we broke bread together. We shared thoughts and realized how close we are. The prophet’s birthday is a nice occasion to rededicate ourselves to uphold peace, love, and harmony,” said Dr. Azimuddin, President of Darul Qaza foundation & Convener of the campaign in Mira Bhayander.
Former MLA and president of Islam Gymkhana Yusuf Abrahni, who leads the Prophet for All campaign, had announced that Muslims should try to invite non-Muslim friends for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and try to remove the misgivings about Islam.
Dr. Parvez Mandviwala & Saad Syed were among the speakers briefing about Prophet Muhammad & his message of Unity & Brotherhood.
The next program is decided for 9th Oct at St. Haris School for non-muslim masses to widespread this message of love over Lunch.
