Eleven-year-old Azad Shah, son of Ghulam Alam Divan of Chowkhandi, Tilak Nagar, went missing at noon on 18 July. He was studying in class VI of a local school. Though police registered an FIR, it is making no efforts to trace him. Police has not even published the boy’s photograph and has prohibited the father to print on his own a poster of his son’s disappearance. The boy’s father registered a complaint with the Delhi Minorities Commission which has directed DCP West Delhi to conduct an enquiry and order local police to seriously search for the boy.
